THE APPROACH
02

Five pieces.
The AV perspective.

Content built for the event industry — not for wedding guests.

What It Is
Five 30-second pieces, one per event day, shot during soundcheck and setup windows. Danny speaks to what he does, how he thinks, and what it actually takes to run AV for a wedding at this scale.
The Audience
This content is for event planners, venues, and production companies — not for the couple or their guests. The language, the angles, and the message are built for professionals who know what Danny is talking about.
The Crew
Ashton on A-roll — Danny to camera, clean 30-second takes. CM on B-roll — equipment, cables, mixing boards, speaker rigs, the technical setup in all its detail. Multicam so the edit is always clean.

DAY 1  ·  30 SECONDS  ·  TECHNICAL WALK-THROUGH

Danny walks through what it takes to set up AV for a wedding at this scale — not a tutorial, a perspective. The number of venues, the variety of events, the coordination required before a single guest arrives. His opening statement to the week.

Shoot Note
Shot during the Day 1 Technical Meeting setup (Puri Kencana Ballroom). Ashton on Danny to camera. CM shoots the room being rigged — cables, speakers, mixing desk. The empty ballroom as the canvas for the whole week.
B-Roll Note
CM to capture the full technical setup — as many angles as possible. This B-roll will be used across the series when technical context is needed.

The Sound Check

DAY 2  ·  30 SECONDS  ·  PRE-EVENT PROCESS

Before any event begins, there is a sound check. Danny on what he checks, what he listens for, and why it matters. The difference between a room that sounds right and a room that sounds great. A process that most people in the room will never know happened.

Shoot Note
Shot during the Day 2 soundcheck window at Sunset Bar (available from 3pm before the evening dinner). Ashton on Danny during or just after the check. CM captures the check in progress — Danny at the desk, the speakers, the adjustment moments.

DAY 3  ·  30 SECONDS  ·  SANGEET SOUNDCHECK

Day 3 is the Sangeet — a 34-piece live band followed by DJ sets, running until 5am. Danny on what it takes to coordinate live and electronic sound in the same room without losing the energy of either. The technical challenge of the week, in 30 seconds.

Shoot Note
Shot during the Pritam Band soundcheck at Imperial Ballroom (14:30–18:00 window). The band rig in the background gives the piece its visual weight. Ashton on Danny in the ballroom. CM shoots the technical setup — the scale of the rig for a 34-piece band.

DAY 4  ·  30 SECONDS  ·  OUTDOOR ACOUSTICS

The Mehendi Sundowner at the Main Pool — outdoor, open air, sunset into night. Danny on the specific challenge of outdoor acoustics: how you fill a poolside with sound without it echoing into the neighboring areas or dying at the edges of the lawn. A different discipline from the ballroom.

Shoot Note
Shot at the Main Pool during the setup window (before 16:30). Ashton on Danny at the pool with the speaker rigs in the background. CM captures the outdoor setup — the cabling across open ground, the speaker placement, the environment. Natural light is excellent on this day.

DAY 5  ·  30 SECONDS  ·  WEDDING DAY PERSPECTIVE

Wedding day — five events, multiple venues, different moods from the Baraat to the ceremony to dinner to the after party. Danny on what it takes to manage AV across an entire wedding day without a single gap between events. The full picture of what his work actually looks like.

Shoot Note
Shot in the morning of Day 5 before events begin — Danny at the main setup for the day, the biggest event of the week in front of him. Ashton on Danny to camera. CM covers the day's technical setup: the Sunset Garden ceremony rig, the Glass House dinner setup, the Puri Kencana after party rig.

HOW WE SHOOT

The Multicam
Approach

A-Roll · Ashton
Full-length clean take — Danny speaks directly to camera for 30 seconds. Multiple takes available. This is the editorial spine of each piece. Shot first, always.
B-Roll · CM
Shot separately after the A-roll is complete. Equipment, cables, mixing boards, speaker configurations, the technical environment. CM has full freedom once Danny's take is locked. The B-roll is what makes the edit professional and technically credible.
The Window
Each piece is shot during soundcheck or technical setup windows — typically 1–2 hours before each event opens. Knox coordinates the window with Danny the morning of each day. Danny is briefed the evening before on the concept.
Note for Danny
Danny does not need to deliver a perfect take. The multicam setup means any stumble in the main take can be covered with a cut to technical B-roll. The finished piece will always feel clean and authoritative.
